Instantly, as we prepared to sit on our designated seats at Wynn’s Las Vegas theater we felt we were in a magical place. The theater was nothing like anything we have seen before. Unlike others the stage is in the center of the theater surrounded by the audience seats. To our excitement the stage was covered by fog and we could feel that below the thick layer of fog was water. Something like a pool. If the scene of the theater from inside was not enchanting enough we could feel cool mists all over the place.
Of course as much as we were enchanted by the theater the performance was spectacular and unequivalent to anything I have seen before. Le Reve means the dream and indeed everything about this show feels like a beautiful dream. I can write forever about the show but I am sure whatever I write can never give the show the least amount of credit it deserves. It is simply outstanding and a dream that I hope I will never forget. If you ever visited Las Vegas make sure not to miss this one.

In many ads and reviews the show is considered one theme of Cirque du Soleil. I found this in Wikipedia: “The production was created by Franco Dragone and is similar to the shows produced by Cirque du Soleil. Dragone, who was the director behind O, La Nouba, Mystère, Alegría, and Quidam.”

Why do Muslim men have to lower their gazes? If it’s so they won’t see women’s bodies (and maybe this is NOT the reason, but this is my assumption), why is it OK to see women dressed like this in Vegas shows and on TV and in movies? I’ve often been confused by this since I know many Muslim men would be horrified if their women dressed this way. Yet it seems OK to look at nonMuslim women who flaunt their bodies. Is it fine to look at women as long as they aren’t Muslims? but if these were Muslims, you would be instructed to lower your gaze? Or does the lower your gaze thing only apply to women so they won’t look at men?
Thanks for helping me understand more on this topic. I figure it’s better to ask Muslims about Islam.

In another comment I mentioned that I believe many Islamic commands are preventive. Alcohol is haram (or sinful) even for a sip. Strange man and woman should not be in a closed room together as prevention. Both men and women should lower their gaze. When going outside her home, a Muslim woman should cover her body except for her face and hands. Men also should wear modest clothes, lower their gaze and not block sideways. The idea of prohibiting men to sit on the sideways is to give women space and to prevent men from luring their eyes. Modesty is the key when it comes to what Muslims should wear and how to interact with the opposite sex.

Many times when I tell someone that I don’t drink they ask me why since they know some Muslims who do. Yes, there are Muslim men who flirt with women, go to Las Vegas shows and what not. But at the same time there are many Muslim men who don’t own a TV and you can never see them in a place where women dance.
Even that I went to Las Vegas shows but I can’t deny the fact that it is not a very Islamic thing to do. Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said: “Every human being is a sinner and the best sinner is him who repents.”
